TV Series about Sexual Networks is Most Watched Drama in South Africa

Current numbers from TVSA, the South African TV Authority, show that Intersexions has become South Africa’s most watched drama series, and the second most watched television show overall on the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). Total viewership of Intersexions now exceeds 4 million viewers across South Africa.

Intersexions dramatizes the effects of a sexual network, tracing the movement of HIV/AIDS from partner to partner, through 25 separate but interlinked episodes that explore relationships across age, class, sexual orientation and race. Produced by Curious Pictures and Ants Multimedia, in partnership with JHHESA and SABC Education, Intersexions is aired on SABC 1 on Tuesdays at 8:30pm.

Intersexions received additional media coverage on World AIDS Day in The Times, a daily newspaper in South Africa. Read the article.
