Injectable Contraception Distribution Subject of New GHSP

GHSP

With the recently concluded International Conference on Family Planning fresh in people’s minds, the editors of Global Health: Science and Practice are pleased to feature a number of family planning articles in its most recent issue. Issue 3 features articles that add to the evidence base that using community health workers (CHWs) to provide injectable contraceptives is safe and acceptable—and appears to be cost-effective when added to the work of existing CHWs.

GHSP is a no-fee, open-access, peer-reviewed, online journal aimed to improve health practice, especially in low- and middle-income countries. Our goal is to reach those who design, implement, manage, evaluate and otherwise support health programs.

GHSP is published quarterly by USAID in partnership with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communication Programs under the leadership of Editor-in-Chief James D. Shelton, MD, MPH of USAID.
