The 18th annual Arabic “Advances in Development” workshop will be held in Beirut, Lebanon, from January 30 to February 10, 2012.
The course is organized jointly by the Center for Communication Programs, the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Faculty of Health Sciences at the American University in Beirut.
The workshop combines communication theory and experiential learning. Participants use the Arabic version of SCOPE to design effective communication and advocacy strategies. Working in groups, participants learn from each other and from the trainers and resource people drawn from Johns Hopkins University and American University in Beirut staff, and field practitioners.
Applications must be received by November 30, 2011.
