This week and last, the CCP-led Breakthrough ACTION project is delivering sanitary pads to 77,000 adolescent girls in Liberia.
In Liberia, CCP is working to reduce bullying, period stigma and other negative taboos associated with menstruation. “We want people to really get comfortable making menstruation part of normal discourse,” says CCP’s Lindsey Leslie.
With an assist from CCP, one town now has a water pump and a plan to maintain its new source of clean water for drinking, cooking and washing.

Research conducted under CCP’s Breakthrough ACTION project is beginning to understand and target demand-side barriers to improve acceptance and uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine.
CCP will receive $9.5 million to continue its work promoting COVID-19 vaccine uptake and acceptance in Asia and Africa.
CCP is working with religious leaders in Africa to help bring an end to the COVID pandemic that is entering its third year.
The additional money will be for work in 12 countries in Africa and Asia to promote the use of COVID-19 vaccines to help end the pandemic.
