Earlier this year, USAID called on the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs to support its global response to the COVID-19 pandemic. CCP-led Breakthrough ACTION, USAID’s flagship social and behavior change project, was well-positioned to quickly launch risk communication and community engagement activities in multiple countries and, by the end of February, had activated COVID-19 initiatives in nine countries.
