The conference will facilitate solutions-oriented discussion of challenges and good practices in health science communication during the COVID-19 pandemic and will feature innovative science communication concepts in the areas of science communication for researchers, science and the media and translating science into action.
This three-week workshop, led by a distinguished faculty of public health, policy and development experts, has been described as a transformative experience. Working in a team, participants will develop a scalable health communication campaign based on a predetermined global health or development challenge. LSCW has more than 5,000 alumni in 100 countries around the world and include country presidents, ministers of health, USAID mission directors, and other leaders in government, public health, global development, medicine and communication.
The International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) serves as a strategic inflection point for the family planning and reproductive health community worldwide. It provides an opportunity to disseminate knowledge, celebrate successes, and identify next steps toward reaching the goal of enabling an additional 120 million women to access voluntary, quality contraception by 2020 – and beyond.
The Summit is expected to draw more than 1,500 SBCC practitioners and will provide the opportunity to connect with decision makers at NGOs, government officials and academics from major institutions. The event promises face-to-face time with creative thinkers and innovators working to engage communities to make change in family planning, climate crisis, malaria, risk communication, health equity and so much more.
